Our summer cottage is in Buckow in the Brandenburg Switzerland. It was built in 1904 by a shoe manufacturer from Berlin, has a small garden with a large sunny patio and the balcony overlooks the Schermützelsee.
The house is over 100 years old and renovated with lots of love and charm and renovated. There are 3 bedrooms (1 double room and a children’s room for max. 2 children upstairs, 1 double room in the basement) and 2 bathrooms each with toilet and bath. Fireplace, garden with table tennis and large, sunny veranda.
The whole house, including a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher (about 140sqm of living space) and garden (approx 600sqm) is at guests’ exclusive use.
The neighborhood
– Beautiful walks or bike rides around the lake and the natural park.
– The former Bertolt Brecht Summer House Museum is 3 minutes away on foot.
– There is a cinema, several delicious restaurants, supermarket, organic market and very important in the summer in the beach and Buckow Billies jetty with rowing boats for hire. There are only a few minutes walk to the center.
Location & Directions:
By car about 1 hour from Berlin.
S-Bahn or Regional train to Strausberg or Müncheberg. From Müncheberg by bus or taxi about 10 minutes. Taxi from Müncheberg costs about € 15.
The house is located in a nature reserve Märkische Switzerland, surrounded by woods, nature and four lakes.
