Old Forsthaus Garzau – Holidays in the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park
In this holiday home, you will experience first hand the unique landscape of the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park. You can enjoy pure idyll away from the hustle and bustle and still breathe Berlin air without much effort.
Your holiday accommodation is located in the outskirts of the village Garzau about 35 km east of Berlin. The old forest house is romantically embedded between old trees, meadows and field ruins in the immediate vicinity of the old Feldsteinpyramide And the nature reserve Rotes Luch. This ensemble belongs to the castle and its landscaped park. Garzau is an old Angerdorf, which was first mentioned in 1247. Also the probably most beautiful, in Germany unique and recently restored field stone church dates from this time.
Your 50 m² apartment is located on the upper floor of the forester’s lodge. The decor is very lovingly arranged with partly old furniture. You have an open kitchen / living area available (about 30 m²) with high-quality kitchen equipment including a dishwasher and a cozy seating area that is suitable for reading and lolling. A high floor invites you to sleep in the “tree”. However, the steep ladder is not suitable for smaller children or older people. There is a separate bedroom with a double bed (about 10 m²). The bathroom with underfloor heating is high quality equipped with shower, corner bath, toilet and vanity and a washing machine.
You can enjoy the nature with every look out the window or experience it up close on the beautiful, sunny terrace in front of the house. The large garden offers many opportunities to do sports, for small children there is a sandpit and many toys. On our farm live two cats who like to be petted and fed.
Our beautiful surroundings are ideal for hiking, cycling and jogging. In the immediate vicinity is a fishing lake of the DAV. You can swim in various waters of the surrounding area with beautiful natural lawns or in the beach.
There are many sights and attractions: spa town Buckow with theater, cinema and Brechhaus, the Oderbruch with a beautiful bike path on the Oder dike, Neuhardenberg Castle, Strausberg with its climbing forest and the ferry across the Straussee and of course, a trip to the nearby capital Berlin not missing. For the weekends and public holidays, the free use of all public transport in Berlin for two adults and three children can be provided. Landlords are happy to advise you on these activities.
If more than four guests want to use the apartment, there is another bedroom with a double bed and a simple bed available for an additional charge of 15,00 € / night.
Linen package (towels + sheets) for short-term occupancy 7,50 € / per person.
