This very comfortable and welcoming holiday cottage is just a short walk from Parrog beach (where you can join the coastal path) and 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Newport where you will find a selection of pubs, shops, galleries and restaurants. It makes a perfect holiday home from home for a couple or a small family.

Traethmawr – the large beach at Newport is a mile and a half walk along the estuary (famed for its many bird species) and is backed by an 18 hole links course.

Newport has a beguiling effect on visitors and once found, they usually return!

Ground Floor

Entrance is into the small hallway and through to the open plan kitchen/sitting and dining room which has whitewashed walls and beams and wooden flooring with rugs.

The kitchen area has a good range of fitted units incorporating electric oven with gas hob, dishwasher, 80/20 fridge/freezer and microwave oven.

The sitting area has a gas “woodburner style” stove in the inglenook, comfortable sofa and 2 armchairs, coffee table, dresser with books, games and DVDs and a flat screen TV.

The dining area has a dining table with 6 chairs and a Welsh dresser.

There is a utility room with washer/dryer.

Upstairs

There are two bedrooms, both have sloped ceilings with a mountain view from the gable window and a sea view from the velux window. Bedroom 1 is accessed via bedroom 2 so this property is perfect for families.

bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers with mirror.

bedroom 2 has twin beds, bedside table, wardrobe and chest with mirror. A third single bed can be provided for this bedroom if you request it at the time of booking. There may be a charge for this.

Beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival.

Garden and Parking

There is an attractive enclosed child/dog proof garden with a lawn to the rear of the cottage with two gravel patio areas, a barbecue and garden furniture.

At the front of the cottage is a bench and a pretty border.

There is parking for 2 cars beside the cottage. Please inform owner if you have more than two cars.

Other Information

There is full gas central heating throughout the cottage, this is included in the rental from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £25 per week at all other times – please pay when booking.

A travel cot, highchair and a stairgate are available.

Towels are available to hire at £5 per guest.

1 pet is welcome.
