The state capital of Schwerin with its beautiful castle, the lake, theaters, and other attractions, can be reached by car in just over 50 minutes.
Other attractions include the seaside resorts Boltenhagen, Kuehlungsborn with its beautiful beach promenades and piers. Or be surprised by Rostock Warnemünde with its old houses, fishing boats, lighthouse and large beach. In Rostock you find a nice big zoo. Day trips to Hamburg and Lübeck
