Adventure and relaxation in the Vogelsberg: In the middle of nature in the lovingly furnished holiday home with a 6000m² park-like garden you can find peace and relaxation. We love the house and you will do it too!
The kids grew up and we decided to share our weekend paradise with holidaymakers. The living rooms have been newly renovated and furnished for holiday guests. In July 2017 our first guests came. In March 2018 we have been awarded 5 stars by the German Tourism Association.

Holiday with dog: animal pleasure

Holidays for families with children:
There is so much to do: bake bread at the campfire, browse the many children’s books, play board games in the evening. Your children will find many play options in our tree house and the two other playhouses. Three trekking bikes, a BMX bike, 2 Wawe boards, 2 skate boards, 4 pairs of inliners and many other games ensure that no boredom arises. In the master bedroom there is a changing table available. Active holiday: hiking and cycling
The trails start right at the house. The volcano ring Vogelsberg with about 115 km in length he can hike in 6 stages. If you only have a few hours, you can choose a round trip over the weekend areas in Gonterskirchen or under nine “Premiumwegen” with a length of between 9 and 19 kilometers of the Vogelsberg Touristik.
For cyclists, there is a well-developed cycle path network on old railway lines. These bike paths are without traffic and therefore ideal for families. There are about 245 km Bahn-Radwege (Vulkanradweg, Südbahnradweg, Bahnradweg Hungen-Laubach, etc.) available.

Living room:
Coziness and comfort in the living room with a sitting area, indoor fireplace, UHD TV with Smart TV (Internet connection), DVD player and a stereo. Here you can spend relaxing evenings in a cozy atmosphere by the fireplace and candlelight. The spacious dining area has access to the balcony on the south side of the house with another dining table. Our guests have a free Wi-Fi available.
Kitchen:
The small but fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed for cooking and baking. Refrigerator, dishwasher, ceramic hob, extractor, oven, coffee maker, coffee grinder, kettle, toaster, food processor, spices and tea towels.
1. Bedroom:
Bedroom with a double bed (180cm x 200 cm) and 2 wardrobes. In the showcase you will find a collection of Readers Digest books for cozy reading evenings. The window is equipped with an insect screen.
Second Bedroom:
Bedroom with a double bed (180cm x 200 cm), satellite TV with Smart TV function, wardrobe, changing table and reading chair. The bookshelf has a collection of books and games for young and old. The window is equipped with an insect screen. In addition, underfloor heating is available.
Third Bedroom – children’s bedroom:
Children’s bedroom with a bunk bed and a wardrobe. The bunk bed consists of two beds in size 90cm x 200 cm. On the two beds are bookshelves with selected children’s books, as well as a mobile phone speaker. The window is equipped with an insect screen.
1. Bath:
Upstairs is a bathroom with shower, vanity, hair dryer and toilet. In addition, underfloor heating is available in the bathroom.
Second Bath:
The second bathroom on the ground floor has a large corner bath, toilet, vanity and washing machine. In addition, underfloor heating is available in the bathroom.
Party Room:
The party room in the basement with a lit bar counter, fridge, pull-out sofa bed, stereo, disco ball, pull-out table for 8 people, board games, shoe rack, wood stove and benches offers a pleasant atmosphere for a cozy get-together.
Water:
The tap water comes from the in-house water well with very good Vogelsberg drinking water, which of course is tested annually for purity.
Heater:
The whole house is heated by a central gas heating system. In addition, the indoor fireplace in the living room heated enough the entire upper floor.
Barbecue on the terrace and campfire:
On the covered terrace with outdoor fireplace, you can spend cozy evenings while grilling the rippling water cascades. For romantic evenings there is a Lagefeuerstelle with benches and an adjoining dining area.
Garden:
The 6000m², fenced plot in the weekend area Gonterskirchen is surrounded by the forest and a picturesque stream. In addition to two ponds with carp and roach fish, is located in the rock garden at the house a small goldfish pond with cascade waterfalls.
In the garden you will find many animals depending on the season: frogs, salamanders, fireflies, raccoons, stag beetles – pure nature! Probably the sweetest ones are the newts that swim in our ponds.
Tree house:
For the more adventurous, there is a cool tree house with a ladder, slide and climbing facilities.
Big and small playhouse:
For children there is a 20m² wooden house and a 2m² miniature cottage for toddlers available. The lovingly furnished large playhouse has a sitting area with sofa and table, and games kitchen. The kids will find some outdoor and indoor games here. For the little ones there is a tractor, Bobbycar and a sandbagger.
