This spacious and luxury chalet for six people, built in 2006, is located in a cul-de-sac with eight other chalets in the centre of the small village of St. Margarethen im Lungau. This village is centrally located in the beautiful Salzburg mountains, with snowy ski slopes in the winter and the Carinthian lakes in the summer just around the corner. This chalet features a spacious living room with a seating area and fireplace and a typical Austrian dining area with a corner sofa. The open kitchen, with French windows opening onto the garden, includes an electric oven, a ceramic range cooker with four burners, a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. The tiled floor has underfloor heating. There is also a room with a washing machine where you can store your ski’s or bikes. Three spacious bedrooms are located on the first floor, with two rooms featuring a double bed and one room with two single beds. Each bedroom has access to a balcony. There are two bathrooms, one with a rain shower head and another with a corner bath. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating. Both floors feature a separate toilet. Surrounding the chalet is a sunny garden, offering plenty of privacy. The Lungau is a very sunny region, where temperatures can easily reach 25 °C in the summer, but the nights are refreshingly cool due to its elevated location at 1066 m. The chalet is situated approximately 150 m from the Aineck-Katschberg ski lift and about 200 m from the supermarket, where you can find fresh bread and daily supplies. The Obertauern ski area is a 25-minute car ride away and Speiereck is approximately 10 minutes by car, but there is also a free ski shuttle service for both regions. The town of Villach, and also northern Italy, Slovenia and Croatia are within easy reach. In the summer, both active holidaymakers and those looking for peace and quiet can enjoy this wonderful region. Walking, mountain biking, fishing, rafting and motorcycling over the many beautiful passes and in the area are just a few of the many possibilities for a fantastic holiday!
