Welcome to our Casa – Cara, house for friends! In a spirit of warm hospitality, we want to offer a space where vacation for body and soul is possible, in the familiar family or with dear friends.
Our three 60 m² apartments are individually furnished and have received 3 stars from the German Tourism Association. One bedroom – and a living / bedroom has two beds (extra beds possible) and the bathroom is new with a large shower. In each kitchen is an oven for cozy warmth, a cozy seating area and a fully equipped kitchenette.
Our ground floor apartment (St Hilda) has a large terrace with dining table and garden sofa. The kitchen has a dishwasher. The first bedroom has a princess bed with a red canopy.
About the St. Hilda is an equally sized apartment (St. Margret). There, on some walls, we have laid bare the original glue coating of the almost 100-year-old house.
Both apartments are accessible via a common entrance and stairs. Each apartment has its own, lockable apartment entrance. Both apartments have a piano, as we regularly host musicians playing in our concert barn. Festival musicians also come to us.
The third apartment (St. Bridget) is accessible via a separate staircase and is furnished in English style with sofas with rose pattern. The kitchen has a French balcony and also a dishwasher.
Groups who book several apartments in our guesthouse can meet, relax, have fun and eat in our group room in the attic. There is a long table, several couches, a TV and the W-LAN connection. Children (and adults) can also paint there or play board games (are available).
This group room in the attic is accessible to all three apartments. Groups who book three apartments (up to 16 people) can go over the attic to the other apartment without having to go outside. But you can also lock the door to the other stairwell.
In the attic we have two simple attic rooms left and right of the group room. the left attic room has two single beds, the right attic room (our youth room) has a bunk bed and a large sofa bed.
The cellar below the apartments can be reached from the staircase as well as at ground level from the garden. There you can comfortably park baby carriages etc. Also, the washing machine for the holiday guests. You will also find clothes horse and if necessary cleaning utensils. The refuse sorting station is located in the basement.
Our studio for young and old is also in the basement. Preferably you take your paper and brush into the garden and let yourself be inspired by nature and the children playing in the garden. Please use the studio with the materials only on request and with instruction.
In our large garden (2500 m²) with plenty of seating and fireplace is plenty of room for meeting and relaxation. In the wind and weather it is easy to cook with our ceramic grill on the covered terrace.
For the children we have a trampoline, a play hill with sandpit, a Kettcar, a Scelter (Art Kettcar for older children) with trailer and for children and adults a sky swing to relax.
For the long winter evenings (we usually have snow starting in January) there is a sauna and a public swimming pool opposite.
For culture lovers there is our Concert barn: A dozen times a year, internationally renowned musicians enchant the visitors with handmade music from the heart.
On every first of the month Wednesday and Thursday our Buschenschanke opens with Frankish cosiness and our own Pilgerbräu.
Regular barn worship in ecumenical breadth and fireside chats with exciting speakers include offers for people who appreciate inspiration and spiritual impulses in your holiday.
So we want to invite in our house for creativity and community.

Location: Casa Cara is located in Gefrees on the western slope of the Fichtelgebirge only about 5 minutes walk from the forest (Vier Burgental to Bad Berneck or towards Falls in the hiking paradise at Wirsberg) and only 3 minutes drive from the A9.
In our beautiful surroundings there are natural bathing lakes, bike -; Hiking and Nordic Walking trails, thermal spas (Lohengrin Bayreuth, Siebenquell Weissenstadt and for families Therme Obernsees), alpine ski lifts and (floodlit) cross-country ski trails as well as a wide range of cultural offerings of theaters (Luisenburg Festival, Trebgast Nature Stage, Bayreuth Studio Theater, Theater Hof) over classical concerts (Richard Wagner Festival Bayreuth, Festival Central Europe) to top-class cabaret (St. Georgen Swings).
If you book our house as a group, you can rent two or three apartments. Of course you can also book a single apartment. The calendar shows only the first booking, but usually there are still one or two apartments available. Please send your request, even though the calendar indicates an occupancy.
Rates:
An apartment costs at least 45 € for 1-2 persons per night.
Each additional person we charge € 22.50 per person per night,
Children 15 € per night (not available for online booking)
Stay of one week or more, we grant a discount of 10% (when booking online adjustable)
Monthly rent 30% discount (not available for online booking)
Final cleaning per apartment 15 €
Dog: 15 €
Sauna use: 10 € basic fee and additional 1.50 € per Saunagänger (on-site bill)
Studio use: by appointment
Bed linen and towels are included.
