Our cozy apartments ‘Charlotte’ is situated in the Baroque old town of Potsdam. From there you are after 10 min. Walk in the new `Barberini` and in 6 minutes in the Dutch quarter, in 10 minutes at the Nikolaikirche or after 20 minutes in the park Sanssouci. Just stroll into the city center and enjoy the variety of Potsdamer street cafes, shopping, museums and historic palaces and parks.
Twelve castles to explore as guests of the old royal city of Potsdam on your walks. Baumeister as Knobelsdorff, Schinkel or Persius and the well-known landscape architect Lenné, Eyserbeck and Prince Pückler-Muskau designed on behalf of the king, the great architectural and horticultural diversity of Potsdam.
The historic quarters Russian Colony Alexandrowka, the Dutch quarter with its red brick houses and the former Bohemian weavers’ quarter give Potsdam the atmosphere of a European-influenced city.
If you want a little more experience from the green countryside of Potsdam, you can rent bicycles for touring the bike shop on the corner. Visit the home of Einstein’s in Caputh on Lake Templin, enjoy the colorful Blossom on the island of Werder or visit the idyllic Heilandskirche and Gutsschloss in the conservation area Sacrower See.
