Apartment (2 rooms KDB) for up to 4 persons in Oberhausen, centrally located in the Ruhr area and yet quiet location. Ideally suited for short-breakers, to get to know the Ruhr area and its industrial culture, for mechanics and craftsmen who are working here in the area or for trade fair visitors (Düsseldorf, Essen). The apartment is located in the immediate vicinity of the CentrO, the König Pilsener Arena, the metronome musical theater and the turbines. The nearby motorways (A40, A42) make it easy to get anywhere else in the Ruhr area. Despite this central location the apartment is very quiet, the house is located in a quiet side street with little traffic. Several grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacy, hairdresser, etc. can be reached within a few hundred meters. Various snack bars and restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity as well as in a large selection at the nearby CentrO (about 2 km away).
The apartment is located in a 6 party house in the 1st. OG and is about 45 square meters large. The apartment has a double bedroom (1.4 x 2.0 m), a cozy living room (sofa, dining area and TV), a fully equipped spacious kitchen (incl. Dishwasher, stove + oven, microwave, coffee machine …) and a bathroom (shower). The sofa in the living room can be extended to another double bed (1.40 x 2.0 m), so that the apartment can easily sleep up to four people. The apartment was renovated in spring 2016 and completely renovated. Bed linen and towels, as well as coffee and tea are included. Free Wi-Fi.
During the week the apartment i. D.R. From about 6 pm, as we work during the day. Also a late check-in (until about 24 hours) is easily possible. Check-out should be done by noon. If you would like to arrive earlier or later, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will see what can be done (depending on the occupancy of the apartment and how we have to work).
The apartment is easy to reach. From Oberhausen train station it is about 2 km, the nearest bus stops are about 200 m away. The bus from the main station takes about 10 min. From Düsseldorf Airport you can reach the apartment in about 30 minutes (regional express to OB Hbf, then bus). By car you can reach the nearby motorways A40 or A42 in about 5 minutes with us. Parking spaces are available in the street sufficiently.
The CentrO Oberhausen with its diverse shopping and leisure facilities (eg Gasometer, Metronome Musical Theater, Sealife Aquarium, Legoland, Tree2Tree Climbing Park, Cinestar Kinocenter …) as well as the King Pilsener Arena are just 2 km away. A direct bus service takes you there in about 15 min. It is a 20-minute walk from the hotel, a 5-minute drive away. The CentrO has ample free parking. Also the turbine is only 2.5 km away and easy to reach.
Other attractions in the Ruhr area, Such as the Zeche Zollverein (World Cultural Heritage) with the industrial museum, the Duisburg inner harbor, the Landschaftspark Nord, the Museum Folkwang, the zoos in Duisburg and Gelsenkirchen or the Bergbaumuseum in Bochum can be reached comfortably by car or public transport in about 15-45 min.
You can reach the trade fairs in Essen or Düsseldorf by car in about 20-40 min, by public transport in about 45-60 min.
Currently, we rent the apartment from a minimum stay of two nights. If you are interested in a shorter stay, please contact us. Depending on the occupancy of the apartment and our other obligations, we will be happy to meet you if possible.
