She is eight days meeting place for the best sailors from around the world and a platform for diplomats, politicians and scientists from all continents. Musical and cabaret events round out the joyous celebration under the open sky. The Kieler Woche always takes place in the last full week of June. 2013 starts the festival on the 22nd June and ends with a big fireworks display on 30th Of June.
