The neighborhood
In the immediate vicinity of the apartment is the Kiel Canal (7 minutes on foot), with lock and pedestrian ferry in the district Holtenau.
In just 5 minutes you can walk to the Tierverhege Tannenberg. It is about 40 hectares in size and unlike the other enclosures has the peculiarity that the free-roaming fallow deer, mouflon and roe deer can be encountered.
The Kiel Innerförde can also be reached in just 5 minutes on foot.
Start here, at the berth of the sail training ship “Gorch-Fock”, for a leisurely walk along the 4.5 km long promenade, past the seaside resort, to the center of Kiel.
If you are looking for relaxation on the beach, you will find on the west side of the Kiel outer fjord the fine sandy, kurtaxefreien Falckensteiner beach. The beach is natural, there are wild herb meadows and dune grass fields, so that nature lovers, nature lovers and strollers get their money. The fact that the water is shallow, there are no breakwater and no tourist tax, the beach is a popular destination. This beach is only 10 minutes away by bus.
The city center can be reached within a few minutes by bus or bicycle.
