Our house was built in 2009 (completed in late 2009) and is over 2 floors set on high quality and modern 70sqm. Gorgeous top floor terrace 12 sqm and 12 sqm ground floor terrace.
Both terraces on the sunny side with magnificent views of the Alps Kärnische (on the border with Italy)
Kötschach has everything: swimming for families with (young) children eg, hiking, climbing, rafting, fishing, mountain biking but also for those 55+.
Our house is located only 300 meters from the town center.
Border to Italy only 12 km, Venice 200 km away (about Plöckenpass)
Winter sports: many people do not want to Tyrol. Too hectic. We have quiet slopes and coziness.
Nassfeld: new ski area, (25 km from the house, free ski bus) 110 trails, 80 km cross-country trails, 55 km of winter hiking trails. Ski area opens December 3, 2011
Hiking: Kötschach and surrounding area is a walker’s paradise. Many marked hiking trails start right in the middle of the chalet.
The walk to the Mauthner Klamm z. B. is very nice. This walk starts at the natural pool in Mauthen and is almost flat. One can, for. Example also walk to the hut go Wastes (pictured in the middle of the town, close to the church) where you can eat or drink anything.
There is also near several so-called Geotrail, trails with historical background.
We will get you detailed hikes that we have discovered from personal experience.
Adventure Road: There are close to several so-called experience street. This road is lead through the most beautiful parts of Carinthia.
The Villach Alpine Road, Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the Nockalmstrasse are now very well known and popular.(See: www villacher-alpenstrasse at..)
Attractions: Lienz is the most sunny city of Austria to 32 km.
Villach with its old town is located 80 km.
Klagenfurt 100 km.
Udine is a beautiful city in Italy to 95 km away.
Venice 200 km (best reached via Punta Sabbioni and then by boat).
Slovenië to 85 km.
