The Villa
We offer you a new, architect-designed holiday home. The environmentally friendly house biedt generous accommodation for
two to six people. The ambience is spacious, yet warm. The view from the living room is breathtaking. The DIJKHUIS: for people who choose tranquility and space and inspirational togetherness.
We advise people who feel the need for a different kind of celebration or want to party loudly into the night to find a different location away from Schenkenschanz.
The DIJKHUIS comp rises two levels: the lower level faces the village, the higher level faces the river. The house features a large open-plan living room from where you can admire the landscape. We’re not exaggerating when, we say That You’re actually looking at a huge painting by one of the old Dutch masters.
To the point: Upstairs you have access to a spacious bedroom with bathroom. The bedding configuration is luxury extra-long twin beds. The living room has a luxurious sitting area and is fully equipped. TV (2x), DVD / CD (with HDMI, USB), Radio / Amplifier. You look out on to a large, covered terrace, an elongated porch. The living room Also has a dining table (seats six) and an open kitchen-which opens on to the cool balcony on the northside.
Downstairs there are two bedrooms. One of the rooms contains sturdy, comfortable bunk beds (2 x 80 x 200 cm). The other bedroom Has Two luxurious beds, 80 x 210 cm. The spacious entrance hall leads to the SAUNA, the roomy toilet and the technical room. And, of course, there is a bathroom with walk-in shower and bath. The lower and upper parts of the house can be accessed via a ramp. This is definitely a plus point for people with walking Difficulties. The house is not (yet) Suitable for people who are Entirely dependent on a wheelchair.
Everything is provided: bed linen, kitchen linen, towels all relevant AND FACILITIES, including: sauna linen, high-quality standard kitchen, ETC.

Deep in the heart of the region lies Schenkenschanz, a former Dutch fortification dating from the late sixteenth century. With just around a hundred Inhabitants, it’s a unique, old-fashioned village. The DIJKHUIS is a holiday home with a breathtaking view of the old Rhine floodplains. In the distance you can see the high moraines between Nijmegen and Cleves, and the permanent forests on Either side of the border.

You will be charged for electricity costs Exceeding average daily consumption (10 kWh per day). During the period 1 October to 1 May heating will be charged at actual cost.

For overnight visitors we charge € 25 per person per night. Overnight visitors must be Reported in advance. This does not apply if the house has rented leg at the maximum occupancy tariff as a lump sum to cover any overnight visitors. The main tenant (s) must stay in the house for the entire rental period. Subletting is not allowed. A maximum of 6 people May spent the night in the house at the sametime, Unless otherwise agreed. Towels and bed linen will be oversupplied for a maximum of 6 people per rental period, Unless otherwise agreed.
