You want to try real country life?
Our old half-timbered house situated in a tiny town in the National Park community Hellenthal. From here you can make beautiful walks or bike rides. The Schmidtheim station is only 5km away, from there you can reach the Roman cities of Cologne and Trier in just over an hour. The Fantasialand in Brühl is also on the way.
Our apartment can accommodate 2 to 6 people. You can park in the open carport and from there directly to the first Floor in their spacious apartment (70m²).
The first bedroom with double bed (180x200cm) offers a nice view into the large garden. The roosters and geese wake them up in the morning. In the second bedroom there is also a large double bed and the extensive library. Via a staircase you reach the gallery on which a large bed (140 cm) and a cot (80×190 cm) stand. Here the children can play wonderfully and retreat, in case it rains again.
The bathroom has a large bath, where you can take a shower. A hair dryer, a large mirror, as well as shampoo and bath accessories are available.
The cozy kitchen is equipped with everything you need (water-egg cooker, coffee maker, waffle maker, espresso maker), a raclette grill for a cozy dinner is also available. Bed linen and towels are available in sufficient quantity. For the safety of the little ones, the staircase is secured by a lockable door. There are smoke detectors and fire blanket in the kitchen.
The apartment has a TV in the room with garden view. There are many social games and books, as well as painting utensils to pass the time. The large garden (4000m ²) invites you to play and for the adults there are sun loungers and various seats in the sun or in the shade. At the open fireplace with swing grill, it sits wonderfully. A large covered porch provides shelter from wind and rain. If it gets too cold, continue celebrating in the Moni-Alm.
We keep a dog, woolly pigs, geese, birds, many chickens and bees. Get to know the basics of beekeeping and try our honey, feed them pigs and chickens or help them to collect the eggs. There is so much to see and do: pick mushrooms or berries, watch the stars or wild animals from the tree house, light a campfire on which they bake bread or barbecue, rest on the hay bed in the former sheepfold, maybe play hide or seek “Robber and Gendarme”, as before …
