Property Description
You have 183 square meters of living space on three levels with garden and 4 car parking spaces available.
From the entrance you enter the basement: Here is what we called a “second living room” with a TV + DVD player with about 30 films for all ages, a Wii game console, a comfortable sofa and a balcony.
Two bedrooms each with a double bed.
A bathroom with shower and a separate toilet, a hallway with stairs to the upper floor.
The upper floor: is, so to speak, the main part of our house.
We have had two walls removed here. Hereby we have given you and us the opportunity to enjoy a nice time together.
The kitchen and the dining room: both are open to each other. Here you can cook, bake and, above all, eat together wonderfully, study hiking maps, play board games and do anything else you can do at a large table. The table can comfortably accommodate 12 people. If you are one more then it gets a little bit tighter.
Since our house has a hillside, you succeed directly from the kitchen in the garden. If any of you would like to smoke one or the other cigarette, he will appreciate this area, because in the house smoking is of course not allowed.
The house is not suitable for parties. We have neighbors. After 21. 00 o’clock on the terrace may be spoken only quietly.
From the dining room you enter the large living room. Both rooms share a large balcony that faces the valley.
In the living room you can comfortably stay with many others on the sofa area, to end the day.
We also have a shelf of books for you. From “love” to “murder and mortal blow” is all there 🙂 If you liked a book particularly well, you can take it in exchange for another of you. We also have many English language books.
The corridor: No matter from which room, you always get into the large hall with the staircase entrance and exit. In the hall there is a bathroom with a shower and also a separate toilet.
The attic: The four other bedrooms and the large bathroom with bath and a toilet can be reached via the stairs to the top.
All bedrooms upstairs and downstairs have a double bed with two single mattresses. One bedroom upstairs has a single bed for a third person in addition.
There is a total of 6 bedrooms in the house.

Since we are not on site, you will be greeted by our lovely check-in lady. You will be received directly at the house. If you do not want to bring your own bed linen, you have the option to borrow some. A bed linen package includes of course a bed sheet and two towels. The price for a person is once 10, – Euro.

– Please leave our house clean and tidy, as it were. The cleaning of the toilets, the sucking and the wiping of the floors takes over our nice housekeeping. Their share is € 55.00. – Please note that per day and person (from 18 years) 2.00 € tourist tax is payable to the spa (children over 6 years) 1.37 €. The tourist tax is to be paid after arrival at our check in lady in cash. You will receive the spa cards with various discounts. Various information material for the resin can be found in the tourist information about 2 minutes walk from the house. – Since we are not on site, we are unable to provide you with sheets and towels. Please bring your own linen and towels. But you also have the option to borrow sheets and towels from our caretaker. The price per person and set is once 10, -Euro.- We have no coffee maker, we prefer “french press” pots for brewing coffee. Of these we have 3 pieces. Pour coffee powder with boiling water. After 1.5 minutes you press the filter down … the delicious coffee is ready 🙂
What is the special situation? Here are the answers .-) There is a lot of information material waiting for you in the house. However, the tourist information for the Upper Harz is almost directly opposite the house, so it is within walking distance in 2 minutes. If you come to visit us in the summer, then be sure to visit Europe’s largest herbal park with spice gallery, also within walking distance. In Altenau also begins the Harz Witch Rose. The route between Altenau and Torfhaus is known as the most beautiful and leads mostly along the narrow trenches of the UNESCO World Heritage “Upper Harz Water Management”. A wonderful experience on hot summer days is the swimming in the “forest swimming pond” and highly recommended. Of course it’s free for everyone and yes! only within walking distance. Right next to the forest swimming pond are three tennis courts. Booked in the “Hirsch” pharmacy in the village (10 min walk from the house) 1 hour costs you 10, – €. Should it pour a day like from buckets (and not only then), then the Kristalltherme “hot chunks” with their great swimming pools and saunas a nice alternative to enjoy the stay, and also is within walking distance. In the winter, the snow quickly turns into snow, and at 500 meters, it even happens more often. Altenau has its own ski and toboggan run “Auf der Rose” Ski and sled lift are available. A great fun for young and old is guaranteed. So pack the mulled wine, grab the sled (we’ll have two ready for you) and go sledding, of course on foot.
