The two of you can make a whole day of it at Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo in Yorkshire. So why not go that bit further and spend some extra time getting up close and personal with one of the park’s many species of animals? With this experience there are three encounters to choose from, either the Meerkat, Lemur or Penguin encounter, which one takes your fancy?
Go for penguins to learn about the family of Humboldt’s and feed them their lunch; you may even meet a friendly excited penguin who’ll take food from your hand. If Meerkats are more up your street then you should go for an encounter with them, you’ll learn about their habitat at the park and feed them a few snacks along with a tour of their ‘house’. You could always opt to learn about the lemurs instead though, and get up close to these creatures in their own environment at the park.
