The living room is bright and cosy, with large picture windows overlooking the woods below. The kitchen/dining room is well-equipped and also looks out across the woodland area. There are two pretty bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second, a twin room. The cottage also has a private veranda with outdoor chairs – an ideal spot to sit and listen to the local woodpeckers and watch the amazing birdlife close by. S77880 is in a quiet location, with a good variety of amenities, including a restaurant, pub and the local harbour, just a short walk away.
The area is a wildlife enthusiast's paradise. Sea eagles are common to the region, and otters, seals and a superb array of birdlife can also be seen. There is a number of excellent sea and wildlife boat trips that can be booked from the harbour, as well as sea fishing trips and excursions. There is also a wonderful voyage out to the uninhabited Shaints Islands (the only trip from mainland Scotland to these remote islands), where guests can view the thousands of nesting sea birds and spot whales and dolphins along the way. There is a wide variety of activities in the region, including a 9-hole golf course, superb sandy beaches, fishing, mountain biking, pony trekking and numerous water sporting opportunities.
