Newlyn itself remains home to the largest fishing port south of Scotland . Newlyn can of course also boast the world renowned Newlyn Art Gallery and Art School as well as an array of other art and ceramic galleries. A good selection of locally owned shops, cafes and of course pubs serving famous Newlyn crab are also at your disposal!
The busy and popular coastal town of Penzance with the recently refurbished Jubilee outdoor bathing pool and main line railway station is just over a mile from Newlyn with the quaint and very pretty villages of Mousehole and Marazion ( home to St Michaels Mount) 2 miles and 7 miles respectively.
