The harbour shops and restaurants are a short stroll away, or take a boat trip to Torquay and Dartmouth for a day's fishing.

The coastal path is easily accessed, leading to lovely beaches and coves; the popular Fishcombe Cove is at the top of the road. Brixham forms the third part of Torbay – the others being Torquay and Paignton, the bay is known as the English Riviera due to its unique micro-climate. Walkers and ramblers can escape the hustle and bustle and explore the depths of Dartmoor. Spot the wild Dartmoor ponies, cross ancient stone bridges spanning the clear bubbly waters of the River Dart and other rivers, and experience the somewhat eerie presence of the tors, seven rocky hills presiding majestically over the moors. Take the ferry across to Dartmouth, the neighbouring town to Brixham, sitting on and across the River Dart. At the mouth of the river are Kingswear and Dartmouth castles with the rocky waters of the estuary lapping at their feet. There are many National Trust properties and Agatha Christie's summer home is well worth a visit. Beach 400 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
