A stunningly beautiful inner harbour provides fun for the whole family with a full sized replica of Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hind to explore, an immersive 3D smugglers experience, The Smugglers Story, plus pirate days, arts and crafts markets and lots of festivals to enjoy. Heading east from Brixham harbour, you can take a walk along the South West Coast Path past hidden coves and beaches to the long sandy beach at Broadsands. You can take a boat trip over to Torquay and visit the theatre, or take a trip into Living Coasts. South Devon's two cities are Exeter and Plymouth – both are within easy driving distance, (approx. 30 miles) and offer their own tourist attractions, historical buildings, and shops. Dartmoor is breathtakingly beautiful. You can visit the tourist spots or, if you are an experienced walker and navigator, you can get away from the tourists and explore the depths of Dartmoor. Dartmouth is the neighbouring town to Brixham, situated on and across the mouth of the River Dart. Take the ferry (car and passenger) across to Dartmouth. Don't forget to visit Agatha Christies home Greenway which was for many years her summer residence now open to the public. There are also many National Trust properties all waiting to be explored.
