There is a gift shop/beach cafe open until 8.30pm in season beneath the apartment, boat hire and a small sandy beach revealed at low tide where dinghies can be launched and trailer parking is available on request.
The Wink, the local pub, is about a 10 minute walk up the valley as is The Cove Cornwall which is open to non-residents. St Buryan , 3 miles, has a church, village store/P.O., pub and garage, and for a wider selection of amenities, the seaside town of Penzance is about a 15 minute drive with a ferry service to the Isles of Scilly .
There are stunning cliff walks along this dramatic coastline both east and west with wonderful views of the sea, flowers and birdlife, directly from your doorstep. It is also an excellent base for exploring the far west of Cornwall by car and an easy drive to Mousehole , Newlyn , the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno and only a little further to Sennen Cove and St Ives .
