The Peak District is also home to stately homes and castles including romantic Haddon Hall imposing Hardwick Hall stunning Bolsover Castle and of course the jewel in the crown Chatsworth House. A real foodie hot spot with countless restaurants country pubs farm shops and cafes to explore so you can put your feet up and forget about the washing up. Don t forget to stop for some Bakewell pudding! Stepping through the grand traditional double doors it sets the scene for the character that will surround you. Heading outside there is seating in the courtyard which is the heart of the grounds. There are adjoining buildings which hosts a variety of themed dinner evenings from time to time. The owners beautiful peacocks roam around the grounds they like to be heard at times and this just adds to the wonderful experience this country retreat provides.
