There are many museums and historic houses in the area including many National Trust properties, The Old Manor, Biddulph Grange Garden and Sudbury Hall. The town of Cheadle with supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants is 2 miles, and there are many nearby market towns to visit within easy reach such as Leek, Uttoxeter, Ashbourne and Buxton. Stoke-on-Trent, which is famous for its potteries and museums (Wedgewood, Bridgewater) and Gladstone Pottery Museum, is 13 miles. The Peak District National Park is within a 20 minute drive where you can hike, rock climb, abseil and do many more land and water based activities. Shop 2 miles, pub 400 yards, restaurant ½ mile.
