The peaceful village of Hayfield, recognisable from TVs “The Village', can be reached within 20 minutes and is hugely popular with walkers due its close proximity to Kinder Scout. The magnificent, historic houses of Chatsworth Estate, Tatton Park and Haddon Hall can all be reached in around 45 minutes, as can the village of Eyam and its truly fascinating plague story. Edale, Castleton and the surrounding stunning Hope Valley scenery can be reached in half an hour, as can the city of Manchester by direct train from Broadbottom station.
