Our inn Kanzlersgrund is located in the romantic valley of the Kanzlersgrund near the ski jumping facility and the famous winter sports resort Oberhof. The quiet single location is ideal as a starting point for cross-country skiing and hiking. In front of the house there is free parking and a bus stop.
In addition to 5 double rooms we also have a spacious apartment in the attic, and 2 other apartments on the ground floor. Overall, our inn has 27 beds.

The inn has 65 seats and offers home-style cooking with Thuringian specialties. Recently our guests can use our WLAN, of course free of charge. The house has a large sun terrace with about 50 seats with unobstructed views of the beautiful landscape of the Thuringian Forest.
There are many worthwhile sights in the area. So the city Suhl is always worth a visit with the world-famous weapons museum and its animal park. In the immediate vicinity is the famous winter sports Oberhof. With the Rennsteig garden, a botanical garden, Oberhof owns a sight of a special kind. Also worth seeing is the famous half-timbered town Schmalkalden. Cultural center of the city is Schloss Wilhelmsburg – art and cultural monument of the German Renaissance. As you can see, it’s worth a visit!
