On the historic island town of Werder, the tower villa, the coach house and the lake house are located at the highest point of the island in a large, park-like garden. Here you will find peace and quiet and still be very fast in Potsdam or Berlin.
The Haus am See is an architecturally elaborate new building, which was completed in the spring of 2017 and harmoniously complements the historic buildings on the property.
The tower villa and the coach house are located on both sides of the entrance. Far back in the garden is – quite separately – the house on the lake. From the terrace you have a beautiful panoramic view of the Havel – and in the garden with its large, old trees.
From the jetty you can swim in the Havel.
The entire property is 7000 square meters and is still decorated by the so-called “Belvedere” – a listed teahouse from 1850, which goes back to a design by the Prussian architect Friedrich August Stüler.
The Haus am See was designed by a Berlin and a Zurich architectural office and was integrated into the historic ensemble in close cooperation with the preservation of historical monuments.
This holiday home is very modern and luxuriously furnished. Walls, ceiling and floor are made of exposed concrete; the partitions made of warm, light wood. There is a separate bedroom for 2 people, a large open plan living and dining room with a panoramic window that can be completely postponed. In the back there is a small working area and a luxurious bathroom with sauna and adjacent small, private pool. The pool is fed from well water and is ideal for cooling off after a sauna session.
The upper floor consists of a wooden pavilion. In it there is another common room with the kitchen, a dining table and a large terrace with panoramic views of the Havel.
The house is designed for 2 persons. Since the basement and the upper floor are connected by an open staircase, the cottage is rather unsuitable for toddlers.
From the station during daytime trains every half hour, with whom you are. In Berlin in 30 minutes.
