The recreational landscape "Wegscheider Land" is located in the border triangle (Bavaria, Austria, Czech Republic). Here you’ll also find the well-maintained apartment in a hillside location close to town. The flat is furnished in the country house style. It features two balcony terraces with wicker furniture and seating area for enjoying a cosy breakfast. One of the attractions and a popular destination is the Rannasee, the largest bathing lake in the Bavarian Forest – it features one of the longest water slides in Germany and is only 2 km from Wegscheid. Hiking enthusiasts and walkers will find everything they could wish for. Marked hiking trails lead through sun-drenched forests, meadows and the typical farming regions, or to one of the many lookout points in the vicinity. The hilly and partially mountainous area is also very popular with mountain bikers and Nordic walkers. Your winter holiday is sure to be a special experience as well. Gliding through the gorgeous winter wonderland on one the many cross-country ski trails, alpine skiing on Wegscheid’s local mountain or curling and ice skating on the Rannasee – here you’ll find a wide range of options. Recommended excursions into the region: Passau, Linz, open-air museum Finsterau, Steinwelten in Hauzenberg (granite museum), Friedrichsberg with its observation tower.
