Soon Viehhofen will be connected to Zell-am-see Ski area but until the lift is completed in 2019 there is a short bus ride to the nearest Gondola station at Vorderglamm, just 3km away. Here you will be able to access this vast ski area of Saalbach/Hinterglemm, Fieberbrunn & Leogang which offers over 220km of downhill skiing. There is a blue run into the village that finishes at the Nursery slope area but you can cut across from the run and get a bit nearer to the development when returning back after a day’s skiing. Alternatively, the ski bus runs until just 5pm or the local bus until 7.30pmn for a small extra charge. From the balcony there are magnificent views of the Schmittenhoe mountains and the Glemmer valley. A quiet location ideal for families and small groups who want to be away from noisy apres Ski bars at night. Perfect location for Skiers of all levels. You can cross-country ski in the valley, tobogganing from high up in the mountains at night, take a romantic sleigh ride at the end of the valley through the woods to a hidden gem of a restaurant. The overhanging room makes it dry to even sit out on warm rainy days. A very useful additional outside area to relax and entertain. At the side of the property there is also a small patio area with additional table & Chairs, wood-store and flower pots. During the winter ski’s can be stored under the overhang at this side of the Apartment as nobody else passes this area, so the equipment is quite safe, or on the Balcony. Boots can be kept on the boot rack in the entrance hallway, or under the overhang outside/weather permitting. There is 1 private parking space at the rear of the property, more free parking at the bottom of the road.
