The Holidayhouse is located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. Spend your holiday in the Viechtacher Land region, surrounded by forests, meadows and hills of the Bavarian Forest National Park. The special feature here is the location of the house. It is situated on a clearing in an exposed location (island position), enclosed by a several hundred metre-wide forest belt. The property is accessed via a forest road (an approx. 800m long gravel path) that leads through a beautiful woodland. You’ll stay at a place that is far removed from the daily hustle and noise and digital stress. The ground floor apartment has a separate outside entrance. You’ll be asked to wear slippers inside the house. Relax on the sunny terrace or in the spacious and bright living area. The Viechtacher Land is in the heart of the Bavarian Forest and offers holidaymakers and day-trip guests an unforgettable natural scenery and cultural experiences. With the Bavarian Forest-Card "Viechtacher Land", you’re eligible to receive discounts for numerous leisure facilities or restaurants in the holiday region. Comfortable, affordable or even for free: use your guest card and ride the Waldbahn (forest railway) through the Bavarian Forest. Visit the Bavarian Forest National Park or the town Deggendorf on the shores of the beautiful Danube, among other places. The location of your apartment allows you to take a day trip and explore the surrounding tourist centres such as the Arber region with the surrounding towns Bodenmais, Zwiesel or Bayerisch Eisenstein. The mountain region St. Englmar (approx. 20 km) at 800-1000 metre altitude is especially popular due to its particular tourist attractions (Waldwipfelweg (treetop path), Haus am Kopf, summer toboggan run and additional leisure opportunities and cultural events).
