Trails German Fairy Tale Road: The log cabin is on the pilgrimage Gottsbüren with his pilgrim paths and hiking trails in the premium nature reserve Holzapetal with the water castle Wülmersen. It is also located near the zoo Sababurg. Many bicycle paths (Weser and Diemel cycle paths) pass through the town and the trail ‘German Fairy Tale Road’.
Sights and canoe tours: Kassel- height (about 25 miles) away is the largest mountain park in Europe.
