Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Reetdachhaus Poppenbüll is located in an exclusive location surrounded by meadows and fields on the peninsula Eiderstedt and is only 10 minutes away from the North Sea. The only neighbors are farmers in about 200m distance. The location offers an unobstructed view of the horizon and nature.
The thatched roof house itself is over 100 years old and is under monumental protection which is why the façade was preserved as it was then. Inside, the former stable has given way to a spacious hall with integrated modern kitchen, in the middle of which is a large fireplace. The open space invites with a fireplace and the long table to common.
Switch off in the spa
The wellness area with integrated underfloor heating is equipped with a traditional sauna with a cold water shower and two loungers for relaxing. Essential oils to make an infusion are ready. In the winter, the very hard-boiled also open the adjoining door and after the sauna can cool down with snow.
Another possibility to switch off is the jacuzzi and if you want to relax before physical exercise, use the available fitness equipment.
Plenty of room for the whole family with and without dog
Whether with one or two families, alone with the partner or a large group of friends, everyone is welcome in our beautiful house. Children have a lot of space on the spacious grounds, while adults can relax on the sheltered terrace.
Dogs and Co. are welcome inside and outside the house and are located in Poppenbüll in good company of the Nachbarshunde.
Activities around Poppenbüll
The peninsula Eiderstedt is known for its kilometer-long sandy beaches, the lighthouse Westerheversand and the seal banks in the Wattenmeer. On the beach of St Peter Ording, which is 15 minutes by car from the house, the Kitesurf World Cup and the Beach Volleyball Masters take place; Events which annually draw thousands to the far north.
Apart from the beach and the North Sea, Eiderstedt also offers recreation as a health resort with its natural sulfur springs, which are located in the dune spa in St Peter bath. This also has a beautiful bathing and sauna area with a view over the dunes and the sea to offer, the sauna should be too small.
