Hjerpsted beach (18 km from Hyggehus, 15 minutes by car) is a quiet beach behind Højer and not far from Rømø. From here you have a beautiful view of the sea and in good weather direct view to Sylt and Rømø. The island of Rømø with one of the longest sandy beaches in Europe is not far away. South Jutland is a piece of untouched nature and a paradise for nature lovers. Deep forests to hilly valleys, from fjords to the sea, from sunshine to the storm surge, from the fauna to the flora. No matter what you are looking for, the South Jutland nature offers you optimal conditions.
Ideal location for trips to the island of Sylt, the Baltic Sea or the beaches to Denmark. The entire nature reserve has a rich bird life. In spring and autumn each one came to experience a breathtaking spectacle of nature, which especially many bird lovers from all over Denmark love and then come to thousands in our region. The migratory birds are passing through to their winter quarters and millions of starlings gather just before sunset along the road Grellsbülldeich between Aventoft and Süderlügum during dusk in the early evening (after 5pm). At the Haasberger lake, just 5 km from the Hyggehus, the starlings perform a ballet in the sky. Our neighbors from Denmark call this natural phenomenon “Sort Sol” (Black Sun).
By train you can drive in a few minutes from Klanxbüll station to the island of Sylt. You can enjoy the day on the island and in the evening take the train over the Hindenburgdamm back to the mainland drive. The last train leaves the island at 1:00 am to the mainland. (From the island to the station Klanxbüll only about 15 minutes by train). Alternatively, the car ferry from Rømø to List / Sylt.
A dream holiday can be spent in Hyggehus in every season, not only in the warm summer months. Golf enthusiasts will find in a short distance in scenic surroundings on the edge of the Langenberger forest the exemplary 18-hole golf course Hof mountain. Another golf course is located in Denmark (Tønder) in the immediate vicinity of Hyggehus.
Experience the advantages in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany.
