Your holiday home is located in the beer village of Weißenbrunn – in the heart of the Franconian Forest in northern Bavaria. The house is just steps away from Weißenbrunn’s town centre in a quiet residential area. The "Rothmühle" is a real historical treasure chest. Why? At over 450 years old, it is the oldest house in Weißenbrunn – a great deal of history lies behind these thick sandstone walls. Grain was still being milled here by a master miller until 1976. Many well-preserved pieces of milling equipment can still be seen in parts of the house. You too can discover this history as a holiday guest in this freshly renovated and accessible apartment. The eat-in kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom as well as the living and dining room have been lovingly furnished and decorated with historical eye-catchers. In the kitchen you to choose from cooking on a conventional range with oven or go rustic and use a real wood stove. A several centuries-old wooden ceiling made from Franconian planks and a small wood stove provide a wonderfully warm and cosy atmosphere in the living and dining room. The Franconian Forest is largely a nature park and therefore a protected natural and cultural landscape. Its landscape is as diverse as the people who live here: valley meadows, thickly wooded mountain ridges and unique high plains make the Franconian Forest simply unmistakeable. Weißenbrunn with its surroundings is a great Eldorado for hikers and cyclists. Popular day trip destinations: Kronach (6km), Kulmbach (16km), Bayreuth (39km), Bamberg (60km) and many more.
