The accommodation:
Welcome to Landhaus Kurzenmoor. We offer this thatched cottage (about 630 square meters) with high recreational value in the middle of nature for sole use, remote and yet only 20 minutes drive from the city limits of Hamburg. Scene quarter as Eimsbüttel and Ottensen in 30 minutes, the internal-Alster and HafenCity in 40 minutes by car.
The River Elbe with its endless cycle paths, 10 minutes, the North Sea in Büsum can be reached in just over 1 hour, about a quarter of an hour longer you need the “biggest sandbox in the world”, St. Peter-Ording.
In the morning our guests are woken by neighboring cows or the tap, sometimes a pheasant refuge in the extensive grounds.
The house stands on a nearly 1-hectare estate surrounded by meadows. On our pond the ducks frolic in spring.
The main house offers approx. 420 sqm 4 spacious bedrooms, including 3 with en-suite bathrooms, a modern kitchen and a Rießgroßes living and dining room with over 7m high ceilings, ancient beams and a large, rustic fireplace.
The otherwise separately rented apartment with sauna is part of this offer, which is connected via an internal door with the rest of the house. It offers a dining table with up to 6 chairs (+ a highchair for children) and a sofa area with TV and a Swedish Bullerjahn stove.
The apartment also has a cozy bar and own kitchen.
We provide for your stay unique sheets and towels.
We have a large collection of games that you are welcome to use. In our bookcase many books are waiting to be read. It may and should also like to be exchanged.
In harmony with nature: We love our beautiful garden and the variety of flowers that it gives us throughout the year. Our own apples, raspberries or rhubarb and mirabelle plums are our pride (it may like to be nibbled!)But we also let the garden be nature and provide a habitat for insects and other animals.

In the kitchen, which is fully equipped for up to 22 persons, you will also find a kettle, a Nespresso Dolce Vita coffee machine and a filter coffee machine, as well as a milk frother.
Interaction with guests:
The guests are the house and the property basically alone available. You have 3 terraces (south west and northeast side, each with plenty of sun) available. After consultation, you can use the modern gas grill.
Children are welcome and have plenty of exercise. With us it is cozy and familiar.
The neighborhood
Here it is quiet, restful, away from the hustle and bustle and everyday stress, but there are still close to all the shopping you need (Elmshorn, 5 minutes away by car, has a pedestrian area with ao. H & M, Budni, a great weekly market, a small harbor and the regional train, the one in 20 minutes to Hamburg Dammtor / Altona drives), a direct connection to Sylt and Kiel consists of Elmshorn as well, here there are many farm shops, very good Fahrradfahrmöglichkeiten, one is in ten minutes by car on the dike, on the Elbe and the Elbe beach.

Directly on our doorstep the bus 6503 direction Elmshorn, bus stop “Kurzenmoor 12-14” in Seester.
A parking lot is available to guests directly in front of the house.
A taxi ride from the airport Fuhlsbüttel costs about 60 euros. Alternatively you can go to Elmshorn by train and from there by taxi (5 minutes) or by bus.
House rules:
-No Smoking
-Pets please only after consultation
-Check-in 17:00, check-out 10:00. Depending on the capacity, we can also arrange an earlier check-in time or later check-out time. Per extra hour we charge 25 euros.
-In the house there is a total smoking ban. When smoking in front of the house please keep enough distance from the thatched roof and dispose of tipping in the ashtray.
-Please separate the garbage: We have a bio, paper and waste bin and yellow sacks. Please dispose of your empty glass bottles in the waste glass containers at the entrance to Elmshorn, because our cleaning lady will come by bike!
Garbage fees are included in the rental price, but only in the usual scope. If your z. For example, if you are decorating for your wedding or other events, and you then get a lot of rubbish, please understand that we will ask you to dispose of this extra rubbish yourself or to purchase garbage bags that we charge.
-Grill: You have a modern gas grill available, which you can use at your own risk. We put the grill but not the gas! Please bring your own gas bottle, best fits a 5L bottle under the grill. Alternatively, you can exchange one of our existing empty gas bottles at the next gas station for a full one, then you save the pledge. Please leave the grill as clean as you found it. Otherwise, I have to deduct 20 EUR cleaning costs from the deposit.
-The final cleaning fee does not include the cleaning of dishes, cutlery, pans, pots etc. Please take care of it yourself and put all things back in their place. We have a dishwasher – bring some tabs from home! The house is to be left swept, and furniture there, where they were before.
– For 5 euros you get a sack full of firewood
Dogs are welcome for an additional cleaning fee of 40 EUR.
For the use of the sauna we charge per use a flat rate of 5 € incl. 2 sauna towels, we lend you every other towel for 2 EUR.
-For the play equipment from the tree house over the cable car, swings up to the trampoline we can not take over adhesion. They are partly self-built and extensively tested by my own children. However, they are not accepted by the TÜV or any other public authority – so: use at your own risk and only under the supervision of the parents.
-In particular, with larger groups, we have unfortunately already made a few bad experiences in terms of compliance with the house rules, especially the order and cleanliness on return. Therefore, before booking I will in some cases include a surcharge of 200 Eur, which I will refund directly after your stay via Airbnb, if everything went well – and that is fortunately then the rule.
