This small, cosy seaside resort is considered by many, especially families, as their summer retreat. Schönhagen has a sandy beach, approximately 1000 metres long and secured by lifeguards. It seamlessly connects to the beach of Kappeln in the north and to a steep coast in the south. On the beach, directly behind the small promenade, there are 60 comfortable cottages. A typical holiday in the Baltic Schönhagen goes something like this – wake up to the sound of the sea on stormy days, stroll on the beach on freezing cold winter days, then relax in a sauna or hot tub. Wrap up the day in the cosy living room in front of the fireplace.
