Our 46 sqm two-room apartment with balcony is located in a pleasant, quiet, well-arranged complex in Schonach just outside the village in about 980 m altitude on a hillside. A few meters behind the house starts the nature and you can wonderful hiking or cycling (mountain bike). A free outdoor swimming pool is located on the mountain opposite (operated by the municipality Schonach and fed by a stream). Because of the height please do not forget UV protection! In the village there is the second largest cuckoo clock in the world, the largest is now 4 km further in Triberg, where there are also the famous waterfalls.
With the Konus guest card, which you receive from us for your visitor’s tax, you can make wonderful day trips to the Titisee, Feldberg, Freiburg, or Lake Constance for free. The Federal Railways and virtually all public transport is available to you for free use throughout the Black Forest. Of course you should not forget the beautiful surroundings, where you can walk up and down for hours with always beautiful views. A little further then, but of course no longer free, Basel, Zurich or Strasbourg and many other interesting places.
We offer a bedroom with a large window and a standard double bed where each partner has their own bedroom door as the bed goes from wall to wall. Then there is a relatively large living room with dining area and a fold-out sofa bed with separate mattress (1.40 x 1.95) and a rocking chair. A small bathroom with shower and toilet, and a small but complete kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and dishwasher complete the offer.
In 2017, a new, high-quality laminate floor was laid and free internet (WiFi) was installed. Also the dishwasher is new; In addition, an extra large refrigerator with separate freezer compartment. Between the hallway and the living area there is a small hall with cloakroom and a door, so that it is nice and quiet in the living room. Furthermore, we have a beautiful, covered balcony to the south with table and chairs. The apartment also has a parking space (number 85) right next to the house entrance. For entertainment there is a large LED TV and a small dual stereo with CD player (Dual was once a Black Forest quality company in St. Georgen, only a few km away).
The mandatory tourist tax is € 2.50 for adults and € 1.00 for children from 6-16. You will receive the Kurkarten from us in advance, so that you have no running therefore, and the benefits may possibly use the same (Since we receive the bill from the spa, we ask for a refund to our account after receiving the Kurkarten). Further costs do not apply – final cleaning, electricity and water are included.
Please bring your own bed linen and towels or rent them on site via our friendly neighborly carer (12,00 € per person).
