The house also features parking areas, a cosy garden and a beautiful lawn. You will have use of your own terrace with garden furniture right in front of the house, as well as as a second terrace with built-in barbecue. Clearly-marked cycling and hiking trails start right at the house and take you across the Thuringian mountains, to the legendary Rennsteig, to the lakes and the meadows and forests with their streams. Hiking maps and brochures are available to you. Other popular destinations: Weapons and vehicles museum and the indigenous zoological garden of Suhl, the marine aquarium of Zella-Mehlis , the Sonneberg toy museum, the Saalfeld Feengrotten caves, the Lauscha glass museum, the botanical gardens of Rennsteiggarten , the winter sports centre of Oberhof, the Walldorf fairy-tale cavern, the Oberweißbach mountain railway, Coburg with the Veste, and the many other castles, museums and more. The state capital of Erfurt, the classic city of Weimar, the Wartburg near Eisenach, Schmalkalden with its half-timbered houses and the Wilhelmsburg castle as well as the cathedral cities of Bamberg, Kulmbach and Kronach are only an hour’s drive away.
