You can reach a wide variety of sights by bus or car: Schieder Lake recreation centre (6 km) with its lake, family park, playground, paddleboats and sailing. Arminius Monument, Adlerwarte falconry centre, Residenzschloss Detmold bird sanctuary, open-air museum, porcelain factory – all about 35 km.
