Stiegler’s Troadkasten
A Troadkasten who was then to be found on almost every farm was used to store valuable products such as grain and was thus the treasury at the court. Many of them were then rebuilt and restored, our idea was now a so-called granary made of natural fir and larch from our own forest from Grimming to build after.
It is supposed to be a quaint, romantic and very comfortable accommodation for our guests. Whether front fireplace in a cozy log bed, the panoramic balcony or on the sunny terrace all day is certainly doing something for every guest.
The house has a floor space of approximately 50m² plus. Balcony and terrace.
It consists of a living room with fireplace, small kitchen, a solid wood bench and satellite TV. Bathroom with shower / WC. Cloakroom. The house is equipped with an electric heater and heated bathroom floors. On the upper floor there is a sleeping area with a natural bed bar where you can relax by the fresh smell of wood in a deep sleep. A cozy sofa and a panoramic balcony overlooking the Dachstein-Tauern region.
Optimal starting point for the ski mountains of the Dachstein Tauern region, the nature park Sölktäler, the Lakes Region Salzkammergut, to Grimmingtherme more.
Winter vacation:
Within 20 km you will reach 9 ski mountains with endless kilometers of slopes shortly.
Ideal for families is the Stoderzinken that Galsterbergalm, Planneralm, Riesneralm and Tauplitzalm.
For professionals with action and après ski, the Hauser Kaibling, the Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm is.
2013 Alpine Ski World Championships took place in Schladming.
You can cross-country skiing depending on snow conditions in St. Martin, otherwise in the long run paradise Ramsau and Bad Mitterndorf. Both places are about 20 km from St. Martin miles.
Furthermore, snowshoeing can am Grimming,
Ice skating on Putterersee, sledding, ski touring and more.
Summer vacation:
We are happy to advise you on walks in the nature park Sölktäler, and in the Dachstein Tauern region with its many quaint huts and regional delicacies.
Sunrise hikes or sunrise breakfast on the Dachstein and
smaller hikes in the immediate vicinity.
A cycle around the Grimming (45km) or a walk to the waterfall Salza remain certainly unforgettable.
One aspect of our dear guests is always the Stoderzinken, summer and winter with ski water and Kaiserschmarren:)

If you need peace and want to escape from everyday stress and noise in the city, then you are in St. Martin am Grimming at the right place. Only the church bells pause for a short time, the stillness of the place and, announce the morning. You can then go back to sleep completely relaxed and enjoy their holiday.
