The bypass road to the dam is just 100 metres away. The ski lift in Eibenstock is also not far from here and is very popular. There is also a ski school, a ski rental and sledding in the vicinity. In summer you can enjoy the summer toboggan run down the slope. The house is about 600 metres above sea level and is the ideal starting point for hiking, biking and skiing. Other attractions in the region include the ski lift, ski slopes, museum train, Christmas Country, bowling alley, Kneip baths and the 800 metres high lookout tower. You will also find an Ice rink, bobsleighs, mines, seaside gardens and space exhibitions in the vicinity. Wernesgrüner Musikantenland (4 km), the Czech Republic (25 km) and the Schlema spa (15 km ) are some places worth visiting.
