The holiday home Tannenhof is located on the edge of the city of Lauenstein at the foot of the Saxon elevations. The hiking paths start by the house door, the location is peaceful and romantic at the edge of the forest on a park-like property. A part of the garden can be used – garden furniture and a BBQ space are available. A parking space is located directly next to the holiday home. Already 25 years ago, holiday rooms were rented here. After a complete reconstruction and modernization in 2005, we look forward to introduce you to the comfortable holiday home Tannenhof. Size 75 m2 on two levels for 2, 4 or 6/7 people. On the ground floor you will find the cosy and light-flooded kitchen with a kitchenette and suite, the living room with upholstered furniture (bedding for 5th + 6th person), TV, video and music system and the bathroom with a shower/WC. In the top floor across form this you will find two bedrooms, each with 2 beds. Here an additional guest bed (7th person) is possible.
Hiking as you desire: Since we are wide open in contrast to the rest of the Erz mountains in Lauenstein, it is simply ideal to go hiking. Large differences in elevation must not be mastered. Well marked hiking paths start in front of the door and have romantic names like the Saxon elevations or Eiersteig. Benches invite you to rest, the house mountain Geisingberg offers a stunning view, the picturesque wild park with local and alp-land animals can be reached on foot, the famous Saxon Switzerland is located right behind the door, this region is simply unique and diverse…
Events: Even if it is peaceful in Lauenstein, there are still a few attractive events throughout the year. During the winter the Altenberg races invite you with experienced pilots – a special type of experience. The Geisinger Ski and Ice carnival is famous for the region. A highlight are the Lauenstein culture days that occur during the second weekend of September. In addition to this are exhibitions in the Easter Erz Mountain museum and events in the castle and church that invite a wide audience to Lauenstein. The annual concert from the ‘Sandstone and Music’ festival in the church is a highlight. The wild park attracts with Easter or Pentecost festivals, summer Indian camps, herbal or apple markets. In the beginning of October, when it starts to get cooler, there are ideal conditions for training sled dogs in Oberbärenburg. Experience dozens of huskies in a special atmosphere.
Erz mountains in bright lights: Spring, summer, fall and winter – all seasons are beautiful. But the most beautiful time of the year begins on the Saturday before the 1st advent when the lights go on – not only in the hearts of the people, but rather in all houses, parlours and windows.
