Our cozy and renovated in 2016 and equipped with a new bathroom apartment is located at the end of the dead end, right on the edge of the forest. Schwanheim is a small village with 580 inhabitants and is idyllically located in the middle of the Palatinate Forest. The Amselnest was tested by the DTV in April 2018 and will be awarded three stars in June. The Amselnest is a Non smoking apartment!
The blackbird nest has a 25sqm terrace with garden furniture and awning. There you can end the day and enjoy the evening sun.
The living room with kitchen is also about 25 square meters and has a new, fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a couch for lounging and resting. In the Amselnest there is a LED TV (DVB-T) with HDMI connection. A Fire TV stick is available and the apps of the TV channels can be used via their own Wi-Fi. There is also a Sky ticket box where you can use your Sky access and a DVD player. Some DVDs are available in the apartment.
The living room has a stereo with CD player available.
The kitchen is equipped with ceramic hob, oven, hood, dishwasher, fridge with *** – freezer, microwave, 2 coffee machines (1x Senseo, 1x normal), toaster and egg cooker.
In the living room is a stove, firewood is free.
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed without foot in a comfortable height of 60cm top mattress (1.80×2.00m), a wardrobe and two men’s servants.
A cot (70x120cm) with mattress is available.
The bathroom with shower was newly installed in 2016. The washing machine may be used free of charge. Drying stands and clamps are available.
The apartment is allergy-friendly because there is no carpet. The existing rugs are regularly washed in the machine.
You can store your car / bicycles / motorbike in the lockable single garage.
A dog may be brought along (5 € / night) provided that cushions and beds are reserved for humans.

Since May 2017 there is a bakery with a village cafe. This cafe is a 10-minute walk away. A few meters away, there is also a butcher who also runs a small food assortment. The restaurant “Zum alten Nußbaum” in the center of Schwanheim spoils you with good regional cuisine.
The factory outlet of the “Ranger” shoe factory is located at the entrance to Schwanheim.
