It was once the former grocery store in the village. Yet many ancient and historical features make the “good old days” back to life.
The Thatched Cottage is located in the center of the tranquil and cozy village Oldersbek, in an idyllic and privileged location close to the district town of Husum in northern Friesland. Historic and affectionate structural details exude harmony and romance.
The house stands on a beautiful plot with front garden and Friesenwall. Shade two beautiful old lime trees, the stone staircase adorning the left and right the historic entrance.
The sight protected large stone terrace with beach chairs and comfortable seating invite you to relaxing hours.
A playground ensures that our little guests to have fun.
In the village there is a children’s playground with adjoining free natural swimming pool for young and old bathers, and a businessman with fresh bread and food for daily needs.
Three bedrooms (for max. 6 people), a beautiful spacious living room, a very well equipped kitchen and a bath invite you to about 140 square meters and about 705 square meters of land to feel good.
The Reetkate is the ideal base for touring the north. Whether for shopping trip to Hamburg, Sylt and Helgoland, for swimming at the beach of St. Peter Ording, or one of the landmarks of the north of the lighthouse Westerhever, the Haubarge on Eiderstedt, the lake dwellings of St. Peter Ording, the Holländerstädchen Friedrichstadt or just a romantic sunset, z. B.am Dockkoog in Husum enjoy the unique view of the Wadden sea.
Regardless of the weather, both you and our little ones will get their costs. Whether a visit to the “Multimar Forum” in Tönning, a game day in “Fun Center” in Husum (the modern indoor playground on the North Coast offers fun and games for kids aged 2- 14 years) or a visit to Husum Indoor Pool “Husum Bad”, where you can spend a wonderful day with no time limit.
In our Reetkate you have a large number of board games, books, children’s toys, a Playstation 2 with many games, two televisions with satellite TV, a VCR, DVD and CD player and free Internet access via W-LAN.
