At Lake Templin (about 5 – 10 minutes on foot) there is a nice little restoration with beer garden, where also the good “Potsdamer Stange” (local beer) is served. The Hermannswerder peninsula is in close proximity. From there the water taxi also goes to various stops in Potsdam and the surrounding area. The beautiful Templin Lido (beach) is just 4 km away. Across from the lido is the Forsthaus Templin with a large beer garden and a house brewery. Just behind it lies the idyllic Caputh village with ferry service and a great restaurant right by the lake. There is a pretty little chateau and the summer house of Albert Einstein.
