The town of Altenfeld is located in a wonderful setting, between the Rennsteig and the Schwarzatal. This officially certified spa town is surrounded by wooded mountains and colourful woodland meadows, and is among the most beautiful hiking areas in the central Thuringian Forest. This holiday house, which you will have entirely to yourself, is situated at the edge of the woods in a quiet and sunny setting. The house is lovingly furnished in a comfortable design. There is a lawn for sport and sunbathing, with a sitting area, garden furniture, a grill and a sandbox. You will also find sport and leisure offerings in the immediate vicinity: a forest swimming pool with a beach volleyball court, a sport centre with a bowling alley, several museums, horseback riding, carriage and sleigh rides, and hiking on the Rennsteig trail. Favourite daytrip destinations: Masserberg spa town, the town of Ilmenau, Oberhof (sport venues) and the world-famous cultural cities of Erfurt and Weimar.
