Holiday to relax and unwind … The cozy duplex apartment is located in the former sacristy of the Catholic church Demitz-Thumitz. The building was erected in the 1950s, one of the few church buildings of the former GDR. In 2012, the building was transformed into a new one.
The bathroom with window has a shower, a toilet and a sink.
The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, sink, stove and crockery and offers space for a dining area (a high chair is available). The bedroom on the top floor can be reached via a wooden stairs and offers a fantastic view of the Klosterberg. There is space for two adults and if necessary a child (baby bed is available).
All rooms are newly renovated in 2016. In keeping with the greatest possible preservation of the original equipment and natural building materials, particular attention was paid to the preservation of the historical use and to the most extensive absence of electrosmog.
The large garden with seating area, playground, fire pit and barbecue can be shared by the guests. Especially in autumn, the orchard invites you to snack.
If you like, you can also exchange your books, a small selection is available in the apartment.
Demitz-Thumitz – the Granitdorf – lies at the foot of the Klosterberg between Bautzen and Bischofswerda, directly on the Saxon Way of St. James. There is a stamping post at the neighboring church. Theme walks and banners inform about the granite mining and its processing.
The train station is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. To Bautzen it is about 10 minutes, to the center of Dresden about 40 minutes.
The A4 motorway can be reached in 8 minutes.
