14-BERG AM LAIM. Berg am Laim is a quarter in Eastern Munich and forms part of district number 14. Since its restructuring in 1992, it has become one of the smallest and least populated districts in Munich. It is mainly a residential neighbourhood, with many family homes. Nearby you have the “Ostpark”, where you can enjoy nature walks. For cultural experiences, you have the “Kultfabrik” (cult Factory), which is an old factory area, near the East-Train station “Ostbahnhof” on “Grafinger Strasse” (Grafinger Street). Here there are numerous restaurants, bars, nightclubs, fairs, markets, etc. The area is also well served by public transport. With the metro, tram or train, you can easily reach the city centre, the Old Town, some of the main tourist attractions or the “Ostbahnhof” (East Train Station).
