Central villa cosy apartment with large pool - free wifi/parking!

Property Description

The apartment (free wifi/street parking!) has its own private entrance, and lies below our family villa which is situated in a quiet village of Lija, ~ 5km from Valletta and St Julian’s, as well as ~8 km from the popular sandy beaches to the north. You will certainly enjoy the property, summer or winter!

You can either hire a car and drive around our little island, or else just 200m away is a bus stop from where you can easily get to the whole island. 5 mins walk are restaurants and bars.

Refurbished in June 2017, the apartment is semi-basement, and is level with our citrus garden. There are two bedrooms, a living room, a TV room, shower room and kitchen. Just outside is a patio that looks onto our citrus garden, with stairs up to the sunny (large) pool and relaxing Jacuzzi, with lots of surrounding paved areas.

Besides the pool, we have some outdoor ‘houses’ (Little Tykes) for young kids to play, as well as a swing, a small games room and a cyclette and threadmill for the adults!

The apartment has its own private access through the side garden, and looks over our lovely garden which is full of citrus trees – which is what Lija is quite famous for!

Lija is one of Malta’s oldest and smallest villages, famous for houses with large gardens with citrus trees. Our villa is situated in the ‘new part’, in a villa area. It is highly residential although there are a few bars and restaurands within a few minutes walk.

The neighbourhood is a charming villa area and is tranquill and crime-free. Parking is available just outside the house.

Lija is very central and although Malta is small, traffic is a problem in many busy areas. So central makes sense! 300 meters from our house is a round-about where the main roads from the north, east and south all meet together, so we are excellently located if you hire a car. We are similarly located very close to the bus trunk routes, with about 10 routes passing at the bus-stop nearby, though we still reccomend a car if you want to take in as much as you can of the island.

Should you hire a car, being excellently located in the centre of the island, means you can access the beaches to the north, restaurants and night life in Sliema/St Julians, or the culture in Valletta and other locations with easy access, and pair several activities within the same day!.

We live above so we will be around for any help, and will be happy to do so. We have 3 young kids (13/11/6) who are also very friendly and we are sure they will love playing with similar aged children!

We are very interested in our island’s culture and history, so we would be only too pleased to explain things to you and help you along.

The common areas of the villa were refurbished in May 2016, and in June 2017 the apartment was completely refurbished with new kitchen installed, together with new sofa beds, A/Cs, decoration and parquet flooring throughout.

Bedrooms have air conditioners which are available though a pre-paid card. The apartment is located below our villa and the pool, jacuzzi and garden and side gardens are common areas. Our fulltime housemaid has her own independent quarters located by the garden.

Malta is presently going through a construction boom, especially in the tourist zones. Villages are also affected, and construction is presently going on around the corner.

Should you need breakfast or maid service during your stay, this can be arranged.

In a nutshell, a perfect base to see the island with the pool, jacuzzi and landscaped surrounding for added pleasure for your vactation. Come and enjoy it!
