Walkers will enjoy the nearby Hellsee and the Upper Lake (lake) which can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot.
The Liepnitzsee with camping, hotel and restaurant is about 4 km away in OT Ützdorf.
Environment: From the ‘Waldsiedlung Wandlitz we are about 14 km away and from the former Goebbels Foundation Bogensee and later Kaderschmiede the FDJ is about 8km.
The wildlife park in Groß Schönebeck is easy to reach via Eichhorst am Werbellinsee through the Schneewittchenweg in the Schorfheide.
In Liebethal you can see the Przewalski horses in the wild, and lodge at ‘Edelgard’ good and cheap.
For culturally interested: music summer in the castle Chorin, seven sound in Bernau and castle Börnicke, island Marienwerder and of course all events in the nearby city of Berlin.
Who loves the tranquility and yet sometimes you start in`s bustling city after Berlin and Potsdam for strolling or shopping, has here a good starting point.
