A paved bike trail starts just 200 meters away. The village of Rutenberg is part of the ‘Raftsman Town Lychen’, which offers supermarkets, restaurants, boat and bicycle rental shops within 5 km. Arrival and Helpful: For the stay in the ‘house Peter am Kronsee’ we recommend a car, since there is no supply possibility in the village except a restaurant. However, it is also possible to enjoy a nice holiday with the bike alone. You can take the bike from the train station in Fürstenberg on beautiful bike paths 15 km to Rutenberg and for shopping in Beenz or Lychen it is less than 5 km.
Arrival by train & bike or taxi: From Fürstenberg an der Havel there are hourly train connections from / to Berlin. The journey takes about 60 minutes. A bus goes from / to Lychen – but not to Rutenberg.
Arriving by car: Coming from Berlin, take the B96 to Fürstenberg a. d.Havel, then at the end of Fürstenberg turn towards Lychen. In the town center Lychen at the town hall turn left and follow the main road. Follow the signs to Feldberg and Beenz. Between Lychen and Beenz, turn left to Rutenberg via Seeberg. In the village at the church left and through to the large Kronsee.
Sports & Leisure: In the Uckermark there is a lake behind every corner. From ‘Haus Peter am Kronsee’ you can choose, for example, a 9 km long jogging track through the forest and across the fields past three lakes. In Lychen you can rent big rafts, also canoes, pedal boats etc. The Lychener Lakes are connected to the Mecklenburg Lake District. In any case, it is worth bringing a dinghy for our lake. Cyclists have all possibilities, because only two hundred meters behind the house runs the Uckermärkische Radrundweg. If you bring along time, there is also connection to the long distance cycle path Berlin-Copenhagen. The spa in Templin is also recommended. Otherwise, the area also has a lot to offer culture. The castles in Fürstenberg, Boitzenburg and Rheinsberg often offer concerts as well. The picturesque Himmelpfort and its monastery between the lakes are also less than 10 kilometers away. Of course, there are also horseback riding opportunities.

The library consists of numerous novels, various nonfiction and entertainment literature. Some volumes also in English.
